VLCCU Stands Strong for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, In the spirit of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, VLCCU collaboration with Hydro Co-operative Credit Union Ltd., a member-owned financial institution based in Akosombo, Ghana, is actively supporting initiatives to raise awareness and promote early detection of breast cancer. As a key participant in local campaigns, the credit union has partnered with the VRA Hospital Akosombo to create a cancer awareness drive and Pink October survivor advocacy programs, where it contributes to community efforts. The unions emphasize community well-being, reminding members that early detection through self-examination and mammograms can save lives. This year, staff and members are encouraged to wear pink ribbons, symbolizing solidarity with survivors, fighters, and those lost to the disease. Together, we’re turning awareness into action—one pink ribbon at a time.
