In a vibrant display of cultural solidarity and community partnership, a delegation comprising board members and management of the Volta Lake Cooperative Credit Union joined the chief and people of Akwamu Pesse to celebrate their Akwasidae and Yam Festival on Sunday.

During the festival durbar at Adjena Pese, Okotsuasuom Nana Osae Nyampong VI lauded the Credit Union’s contributions to the community, describing its initiatives as “transformative and deeply appreciated.” He encouraged residents to embrace the Credit Union movement, citing its role in promoting financial inclusion and ethical stewardship.

In a gesture of goodwill and strategic partnership, Nana Osae Nyampong VI pledged to provide office space should the Volta Lake Cooperative Credit Union consider establishing an additional agency in the communityβan offer met with enthusiastic applause from festival attendees.

The day began with a courtesy call on Nana Ansah Kwao IV, the chief of Adumasaβaffectionately known as “the little Republic”βwhere the delegation paid homage and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening ties with traditional leadership and local communities.
